I woke up this morning, at about 3:30, and I felt horrible. I am really light headed, dizzy, my throat hurts, my head hurts, and I feel like I will throw up. On top of that, I was burning hot and freezing cold at the same time. I feel better now, but still sick and its 10:00. Whats going on?

I agree with most of the other responses. Drink plenty of fluids. Were you out in the heat for any long period of time? Could be heat exhaustion or heat stroke. In any case treat all symptoms ie.: tylenol for fever, increase fluid intake, and rest. The body knows what it needs. If not better in a few days get checked by Dr. Age can also make a difference with a diagnosis. We would need more info.

It sounds like it may be the flu. If you can see a doctor today, and he determines that it is influenza, he can start you on Tamiflu to lessen the severity and duration of the illness. But it has to be started within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms so you have to be seen today.

Sounds like a mild case of Influenza. Try taking some Day-Quil. If you still feel sick tomorrow or your symptoms get worse, call a doctor

You probably are starting a really bad throat infection, you should see your doc so he can prescribe you antibiotics if it gets worse. For now drink lots of fluids and take Acetaminophen to relieve your symptoms. Don't take it before going to the doctor's office, u want him/her to know how high ur fever really is..you might need blood cultures.

Gees, how young or how fortunate are you that you've never had the flu until now?
