when death occurs,the heart & lungs stop working.The blood which no longer circulates ,settles & produces reddish-purple discoloration in the lowest areas of the body.Blood itself is a form of tissues.It too needs oxygen for its survival. In absence of oxygen,it can simply'die' in a matter of minutes.

As soon as the body dies, respiration and circulation cease,both of which are necessary to keep blood healthy and alive. Without oxygen, red blood cells rapidly die. Dead cells can not be regenerated. They can't carry oxygen and nutrients. Dead blood cannot help a living person.

Because all the toxins that our body is constantly being removed by our kidneys are no longer. right after death the blood pools and when we take blood from a patient after they died (not done often) we cannot take from the veins, we need to take from a major arteries and it's a huge ordeal.

The minute someone dies the cells break up, toxins are not being removed and oxygen is no longer being pumped to the blood.

Because once someone dies, the blood no longer gets any oxygen as with the rest of the body.

Unless it's taken at the second the person dies, it cannot be used as the blood sets and the cells start to die. It just doesn't function like it is supposed too, because it's not flowing.

Because, body is made up of cells, when a body dies then its cell has to die, so Red blood cells also die, due lack of oxygen and then the cogulate eventually.

when person dies the supply of oxygen stops due to which the cells in the blood dies. as the cells dies the blood becomes unusable.
