Is it true that, when going to a fast-food restaurant, there are more black cashiers and more rude cashiers than many years ago? When we see a black cashier, do we secretly believe that they will probably be rude? Is it true that black people are more likely to play their music loud from their car, when it it obviously annoying other people? Are black people less likely to say "have a nice day" or "please/thank you"? When walking through the mall, do we see more black people wearing the "sagging and bagging" style? Do these same black people have a challenging look on their face, and are they expected to be given a wide berth because they know they look menacing? Are black people more likely to raise their voice to their co-workers? Are black people more likely to talk during movies at the cinema?

Yes most people believe all those things.

Having done many jobs, I find that I have, as an African American, less tolerance of stupidity than maybe other people. For instance, I worked once in grad school at McDonald's before I did my thesis.

People came in asking for fried chicken or pork chops. Clearly, this was a McDonald's, which does not sell either.
In some countries I know, and have visited, McDonald's sells interesting items like these, but these customers were Americans and were not clueless, just not thinking.

I was very nice and won an award but I can understand why people are rude to those idiots.

I don't do any of the above but I think my people just live their lives not according to the rules of "society".

I think many minorities (not just blacks) - live and breathe a hard existence. So if one grows up in a comfortable environment - like maybe you have - one will have a sunnier outlook on life than others who struggle. It's relative to your upbringing and also where you live in the country. In larger cities on the east coast - people are not generally friendly either. Also - culturally, manners are taught and given high regard for blacks who grow up in the south. I got into a lot of trouble growing up - if I didn't use "Yes, sir" etc. And lastly, positive manners are usually directed toward persons you have some type of mutural respect for...and maybe the blacks you encounter do not see you as someone to be respected.

I'm European, and my last visit to America (Florida) I went to several McDonald's and the cashiers were black. At one McDonald's I had a black female taking my order. She was standing there smacking her gum, looking real annoyed when I ordered my food. She was all like "Iz dat all" in this really annoyed voice.

Every black person that were behind a counter were rude and smacking their gums like they were to busy to talk to you.

Usually when I have a white person as a cashier or whatever, I've always been treated with respect.

Honey you are just afraid of people of African descent. Where ever I go, I see young white people constantly riding with their music so loud that it gives me a headache just to pass by them. In my opinion white people are rude and they are always copying our style. I even hear white people insult one another by calling each other white. Sagging and bagging is just a style and once again...it is a style that a whole bunch of white people copy. We never look challenging...you are just afraid of African Americans. Where I go to the movies I have to put up with silly, white teenagers that think it is cool to pull their cell phones and talk and text without any regard for the people around them.
In other words honey...RUDE comes all colors and races. You cannot pinpoint it and say that it is African Americans just because you are so afraid of them.

It's obvious that you are a closed-minded, pasty caveman. Maybe if you start getting out of your matchbox trailer, you'll see more to the world than just your little hick town and imagination. Black people are the greatest people in the world. We are intelligent, assertive, and successful. We don't have time to worry about every little thing because we enjoy life. Now you pasty babies are a whole different story. You all are the devil himself. You lie, cheat, steal, whine, and every damn thing else to try to make it to the top. White people are the only race of people that I know who will be best friends with somebody and be their co-worker, then the next day, they fly to Vegas with their best friend's husband and get married then hire a hitman to take out their spouse for the insurance money. So come again, wood.

*yawn*

are you trying to make a point?
cause I can't find one anywhere...

but anyways no...the stereotype of black people are more likely to do this.

and the baggy style has nothing to do with how we act, I am an intelligent individual, but I enjoy this style because I don't want my jeans being so tight that they crush the family jewels, and I just plainly like how they look.

why would we raise our voice to co-workers?
it's seems like a personal incident, what, did a big bad black man yell at you???
deal with it, he probably has a good reason to yell at your whine self.

I have been to plenty movi.....you know what..it's whatever...cause I know you are just doing this out of boredom or maybe because you got beat up by a black guy....so I don't really care to answer anymore...go on a date with Robert or something.

Here we go AGAIN, comparing one race to another, as if based on your limited interaction with SOME people from either race can be generalized to an entire race. And why is your entire post about Black people, why are you THAT concerned with Black people? C'mon, find a more creative way to spew your racist speech!

Geez, will the generalizations and stereotypes ever cease on yahoo answers?
