I'm not a conservative whatsover, but I don't think Guiliani is that popular with the Conservs. They are leaning more towards someone like Fred Thompson, the so-called "next Reagan".
I'm not talking about Republicans, but the ones that dub themselves "conservative".

That is problematic for me. I have heard Giuliani state WHY he has changed his mind and he seems sincere. However, even if I thought he was still pro-abortion, IF I agreed with most of his policies, I might still vote for him. I am not a one-issue conservative. That being said, I really haven't decided yet. I rather like Giuliani, but I'm waiting to hear what Fred Thompson brings to the table. Mitt Romney is also interesting.

Nope. To conservatives what is done is done. No one is EVER allowed to change their mind. Just like the Congress people who voted for the Iraq war initially but in light of new information are now against it. New information doesn't count. Once you say or do something for the first time that is is with conservatives. Doomed forever no matter what.

He can donate to his own money to whatever group floats his boat. It's his money so it is his choice.
There is nothing conservative about insisting that the government should have control over the medical decisions of an individual.
Now having the government pay for abortions is an entirely different matter. If you want and abortion pay for it yourself.

his preogative to do whatever...federally funded abortion is the main problem we conservatives have with it...no more subsidies..let the morons abort their children but dont' ask tax payers, most of which don't support the action, to pay for it....rudy is about as conservative as bush....ie: not very.

I consider myself a moderate, I would not vote for him because he still does support abortion. It's not just cons who are against abortion.
