While the best player in the Indian Team is Sachin Tendulkar, Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik are the players for future with lot of promise.

To be honest I have two Indian crickters as a tie....
1.Zaheer Khan - A talented & strong left arm paceman who has taken little time to fill the void left in india's pace`attack by the retirement of Javagal Srinath. Zaheer spent three formative years at the mrf pace foundation at Chennai, under the tutelage of Dennis lilee, & looks like he can get better with more experience. Made his one day international debut in the ICC knock out tournament in Kenya in 2000-01 & is also a tricky bowler that can take wickets out.
2. Danish kaneria- An wonderful best spinner out their. Danish Kaneria will be a great future bowler for India.

I first disliked Dhoni, but later I liked him for his consistency and willingness to improve-he started his career as brainless slogger and has become a batsman who can be relied upon.
I always had a liking for the ever reliable Dravid.
Amongst the new players, Karthik has impressed me the most. There is something in him that I feel that ohters lack - maturity and willingness to adapt to any situation.
Both Karhtik and Dhoni are the future of Indian team because they have a positive competition between them and more importantly they are improving themselves to the needs of the team unlike a Shewag of Pathan.
It was a pleasing to see Karthik and Dhoni walk back to the pavilion, after victoriously leading the team to victory against Bangladesh in the first ODI. It was my fantasy long back and it came true.

I also agree with you.He is a consistent batsman and can play both slow as well as fast innings depending upon the situation.He has matured very quickly in the international arena and in the years to come he will become a more dangerous batsman.

sachin tendulkar the maestro----., neverthless debating he's in de hearts of every indian., he's so reserved well talented a respectful player of international cricket., he might not bursting this time., but the sun never sets in his cricketing talent., though we have many new talents we cant regret our mind getting fond with confidential magic wen he plays

Dinesh Kartick. He has shown great potential. Dhoni has failed against quality bowling.
