100 ml = 0.1 L
2.0 mg / 0.1 L = x mg / 5.0 L
5.0 L * (2.0 mg / 0.1 L ) = x mg
5.0 L * ((2.0 mg) / (0.1 L)) = 100 milligrams

Dude, this is so way easy. All it is to solve is a proportion like there are 12 inches in a foot, a person walks 5 feet, then how many inches is that?

First thing to know is that there are 1000 mL in one Liter (like your 12 in = 1 ft). Next is that your total is 5 L, so if you have 5 of these you're going to have 5000 mL.

Next, if you have 2.0 mg for every 100 mL then its a simple multiplication problem. Take the amt in mg times your total in mL. so 2 x 5000 is equal to 10,000 mg for that 5 L of blood, for every 100 mL.

This would be sufficient if it were 2 mg for every 1 mL. But it's not, it's for every 100 mL...so you have to do one more division. Take that 10,000 and divide by 100
Check your work to make sure it sounds right.

Here's the set up: (the dividing marks didn't make it in final format. So it's 2 over 100 and 1000 over 1, OK)
2.0 mg x 1000mL x 5 L = 100 mg
100 mL 1 L

5.0 L = 5,000mL
At 100ml per sample = 50 x 2mg = 100mg Vitamin 'C'.
= 0.1g

100 mg.

100 mL equals 0.1 L, so 5.0 L = 50 * 0.1 L
2 mg * 50 = 100 mg

Bloody hell, I'm losing my mind.
