I live in the south, on a river, and have more snakes in my yard than all of my neighbors. They climb onto my deck, hang out on the porch, etc. Most are non-poisonous, but I am still very afraid of them. I have heard of using campher, moth balls, lime. Please help!

moth balls are probably the easiest way to keepsnakes away, just make sure you don't have any out where pets can get at them. I can't imagine an animal eating one of them, but my dog eats squirrel poop so there's no accounting for taste!!

I just moved near a creek and killed my first snake the other day. I am hearing if you have an outside domestic cat, they'll kill 'em so you don't have to.
