I havnt verified with my HR dept yet but the stub does say Garn-Writ under "after tax dedutcions". I am screwed here and need some advice. What can i do to stop this? Is bancurpcty my only option? I have other bills I had planed on paying. Now I have to hold them off or pay the minimum. I was young and recless before I had my son. Now it has come to bite me in the a$$. I know how it happend now I need to make it stop. I live in Southrn Californing and the cost of living is pretty high. I need someone who has been there to help me out. Im not stressing, but when I get the call from other compines I will be. Please help.

Your chance to fight this was when they filed suit against you. Unless you can work out a payment arrangement with the creditor now -- and that's going to be a tough one with your record -- they'll not be likely to remove the garnishment order.

Garnished wages usually come from a court order.... the only way to stop it would be to have the court order changed if you can. Look into it and see who garnished the wages and under what authority.

Act responsible, take care of your business and live a free life. Act irrespobnsible, ignore your obligations and pay the price.
