The Americans have the orion as the next generation spacecraft and the Russians maybe the Kliper spacecraft! The Russians have, from the beginning till now a capsule-type spacecraft, Soyuz spacecraft (and in the past buran as a space shuttle or plane!). The Americans first have a capsule-type spacecraft, Apollo, then a space shuttle and now they going back to a capsule-type spacecraft! So will those Chinese use a capsule-type or shuttle-type for the next generation Chinese spacecraft? Or will they come with a totally different design??

I was talking with a Chinese fella on the Internet the other night and he told me that he thought the next Chinese space craft would be a double rocket shaped vehicle with a large dragon head on the hood ornament and red tail feathers.

The next generation Chinese spacecraft will be improvised first generation spacecraft, which is on drawing boards. Proto type will be ready soon after the design is over for the first generation one. Have patience for the next generation.

my guess is that the chinese will opt for a shuttle type craft simply because of its reusability and the fact that such an aircraft will give a big boost to their aircraft industry which is fast gaining capability to build such crafts... the next one will definitely be a shuttle on american lines

Don't they have to have a "first-generation" spacecraft before they can have a "next-gen"?
