Yes, my grandmother actually did this. As an adult, she had fibroids and required a hysterectomy. When the performed the procedure, they also found the small, deformed mass of flesh (containing hair and teeth) that had been her twin. I don't know if we technically know that it was an absorbed twin rather than a teratoma, but my grandmother always claimed that it had been her twin.

I was supposed to be a twin. Near my mom's due date, her water broke. It was a full amount, but there was no labour. When I was born, a couple weeks later, there were 2 placentas, but only one me.
