Impossible to know, but I can tell you all three fit the profile for beer.

I think this is just a strange question. What is "the profile"? Lots of good and bad players have taken them, so Im not sure what the "profile" is? Someone that wants to play better? Then it would apply to tons of guys. Or are you just referring to those guys because they had good stats? Mantle was considered a very clean cut, all American guy, so I dont know how he ends up on your list, other than by stats. And by the way, Mantle didnt play in the '20's.

I didn't know Mickey Mantle played in the 1920's. I think Josh Gibson would fit the profile also, even though he didn't play then either. He really was crazy and died pretty young.

I would say yes, Even though the money wasn't a factor like it is today, the competitive nature that's in every professional athlete would draw them to the juice. No one would want to lose their job to someone who might be getting a chemical edge.

The better question, the only question, is why anyone would abuse their body by taking PED's of any type in the first place.
