Well, if you'd settle for just a bit different locations, you might get if very, very cheaply at Allegiant Airline. You might be able to fly from Orlando (about 2.5 hours south of Jacksonville) to Rockford, Illinois. Oh, and it's NON-STOP.

One of the cheapest airlines I've ever seen.

Try this website: www.sidestep.com You give it your search parameters and it checks ALL published fares and directs you to the cheapest ones. (includes Orbitz and stuff like that.) Right now, the cheapest it found is $224 - but if you can use alternate airports, it might give you cheaper.

The only other option is to bid on Priceline, but that's not a guarantee they'll accept your offer.

If you go to a site like Travelocity or Expedia, they won't usually have the real discount carriers listed. You'll have to check out Jet Blue, Southwest, Spirit, and others like that yourself. If you don't know the names of the discount airlines, go to Dogpile or Google and type something like "discount air fares" or "discount airlines" into the search box. If most of them don't go where you need them to, add the cities to what you type into the search box.
