It is the fear that causes your brain to "over think" which causes the frear of regret. Its normal to have fears about raising another human being. Its a major responsibility, but the fears make you think, which in turn will make you an even better parent.
There are definitly times when you feel overwhelmed. There may even be times that you have to "walk away" for a minute to calm yourself. But all the while, you still have this odd connection to your child that makes you love them, no matter how much you may not want to at the moment.
Best of luck to you.

I too have the same fears. When I am in the shopping mall and I hear the little brats having a fit, I feel like strangling them. I almost despise them. Despite my feelings (I have yet to have children), I can see in the parents that their unconditional love for their children is stronger than any feelings of annoyance. Also, I've heard from so many other parents that, when they're your own, it's a much different and more fulfilling experience than being around other people's kids.

Before I had my daughter, I was sure I wouldn't be a good mother. Kids bothered me, and I never liked the way mothers acted--either ignoring their whining child or yelling like a longshoreman in a gale--but then I had my little blessing, and I found that I don't have to be like that. She never whined and I never let myself get so stressed and we had the best time together. Still do, even though she's 30 now--I have grandkids to tend to, now.
If your husband will support you, and it sounds like he will, you will find raising a child to be an interesting, entertaining and rewarding experience. Would you want to pass that up for an undefined fear?

i fell pregnant when i was 22. it was a complete shock, even though i'm married cos we weren't trying and yes i kinda did regret it at first (you know not being more careful) cos i have just graduated from uni and he has too and as the months went on yes i did have doubts, until my triplets were born. they stress you out to no end but i have now been a mum for five days and i'm loving it already. u regret little things like no freedom and no alcohol but it is so worth it!

hey...kids will be kids...they all stress you out at one point... :) a lot of parents have kids that they yell at a lot because the kids have no respect for their parents [its true!] so as long as you raise your child/children right you won't regret it...best of luck to you!
