i have to run a course in a week and i have to run 220 yrds to the enterance of the course and i'm looking to find out exactly how far i have to run to the course.

It's 660 feet. That's one eighth of a mile. Are you not allowed to look at the course in advance to get an idea of the distance?

Converted to feet, 220 yards = 660 feet. That is very close to the length of two football fields.So running the length of a football field twice will give you a good idea. Find a road sign, "This or that is 500 feet ahead." That should give you an idea of how far you have to run. 660 feet is a little under a tenth of a mile. Ride in your dad's car and watch the speedometer. Memorize your start point on a road and the end point should be a little less than a tenth of a mile on the speedometer. All this should give you a good idea of how far 220 yards is. Have a good run !!!

Well the length of a football field is 100 yrds so, twices that and a fifth. that is 660 ft about a 1/8 of a mile or halfway around a track...... hope it helps
