Bravery takes on many forms and is most certainly underrated.
*It's doing the right thing when everything/everyone else around you is saying, "cut and run", "nobody will ever find out", or "look out for #1".
Bravery is a big deal.

Under rated. Putting your life on the line, with no thought of your own safety cannot be minimized. All of those who do this, policemen, firemen our military and random citizens who act on impulse are all heroes.
