I know that the water for an infant to bathe should be around 90 - 95 degrees....but what about a pool? I purchased an inflatable kid's pool , big enough for me to get in with her , but how do you monitor the water temp. in it? Should I leave it out all day to warm it up? Or is it okay to put a baby in cooler water being that the outdoor temp. is warmer?

She is 4 months old...I will probably wait until around 5-6 months anyway , but still need ideas.

fill it up an let it sit in the sun for a few hrs, it will warm up. She will be fine playing in cool water for a litte while, and she will let you know when she's had enough!

The water temp should be no less than 80 degrees for a baby...so you can do a couple things, either let the water warm up in the sun, or take like a mop bucket of hot water and add it to the baby pool before you put the baby in.

I can only give you my opnion not sure if it is correct or not depending on where you live I have never been in water pool water that is that is 90-95 degrees and you see people with there babies all the time. I would say she is old enough for warm pool water but like you I am not sure of the rules and of course you are giong to get differnt instructions on this as everyone believes in different things so good luck

When you're filling it up with water, use warm water instead of cold, and make sure the temp is warm and cozy for your baby.. If you want to monitor the temp, just use one of those cooking thermometers to check the temperature, and enjoy the water with her. Don't forget to put a lil swimmer's diaper, and some sunscreen, and have lots of fun!!

She will be fine in the cool water, particularly if you are outside in the hot sun. Just keep an eye on her. If her head feels cold, her lips turn blue or she shivers it's time to get out!

BTW my son would never take a bath in water that hot, don't know where you got that number from but 90 is extremely warm for most babies.

Just let the sun warm it. Many babies swim in pools that are colder than bath water and they are fine.
