A couple of days ago, a yellowjacket wasp got stuck behind my sunglasses and stung me twice on the eyelid. ouch! My eye feels much better now, but it actually looks much worse. That eyelid is bruised and swollen completely shut. I'm singing an aria in a wedding tomorrow night, and I'd rather not look like i've been in a boxing match! Is there anything in addition to ice and anti-inflammatories that can reduce the swelling quickly? Thanks!

Histamine is released by the body when stung. This cause iching sometimes and swelling. Try an anti-histimine like Benadryl. See if that helps. Might make you a little tired though.

I was just wondering how it went? Did the swelling go down?

Ice is stable, yet remember 2 issues: a million) do no longer save ice on for over 10mins at a time 2) do no longer placed ice straight away onto the floor any incorrect way you are able to shrink swelling is by utilising raising (raising) the affected arm in an elevation sling (the place your hand would be stored at your shoulder). this could shrink bloodflow and bypass of alternative fluids (which reason swelling) to the hand/finger. once you're nevertheless experiencing problems after a on the same time as, flow to wellness middle!
