Alright if was in your situation, i'd first look at the facts... A tortoise is a reptile. That means he/she is cold blooded, so i'd start lookin in places around your property according to the time of day. LIke if its really hott out u might find him in a place where he can bask in the sun ex..LIke on a rock. If its too hott, look for him in a cooler place like: in an around plants, under a deck, and under certain objects that are around your place. Also him bein a turtle basically, hes gunna need water!!!! so look around water sources!!!!! Hope u find him.......It sucks loosing a pet i know. My sand boa got out in my house two years ago....still haven't found him . Also it might be an nice idea to put some flyers out!! I know it sounds gay, but the more people aware of your loss the greater chance in finding him!!!!!

First, start a circle search from the last place you saw it. It is probably buried down a little in some loose soil, or under some leaves, or something, so you'll have to look hard.

It is probably in a place you would have sworn it would not fit or not be able to hide in, and is probably within about 50 feet of where you last saw it.

Make up some 'lost and found' flyers for the neighborhood, so if anyone else sees it they will call you. Make sure all of your neighbors get a copy of the flyer.

Good luck!
