into the basement with me. The dog sheds a lot, but I clean it up pretty good. My workshop is there, but she never comes down to see me. It makes me kind of sad.

Maybe it's time for a basement makeover. Get your wife involved & ask her for her opinions. It's amazing what a coat of paint, etc. will do for a basement. If you don't have a family room of sorts down there, maybe your wife & you could make one. Put some indoor/outdoor carpeting on the floor, but not where the dog is, & hopefully your wife will then enjoy coming down to visit you while you're in your workshop. Keep the dog's fur swept up daily spray Febreeze or Lysol on a regular basis as well. Open up any basement windows that open up to air it out often. Good luck!!!

Try shaving the dog and giving it a bath. Then go up into the attic and help her clean it. You might have to clean the attic about 10 times before she feels like going to the basement. Just make sure it is always clean and that dog will be forever groomed. Also The dog just might be to big for her then you are just out of luck

at first I thought you were talking about something else until I read it again.(dumb Blondie moment) but if you went her to go into the basement with you clean it up better or tell her that you'll be going down with her. if your dog has lots of hair (actually since it's going to be summer) you should get your dog shaded because it's much cooler for him/her and you wouldn't have the hair mess all over the place either. plus use some air fresher too. tell her that you would like to spend more time with her while you are working in your workshop. let her that you had clean it up for her and you would like her to see it. I hope this helps.

Then clean up the hairy dog. Make it where it isn't as hairy and doesn't shed hair. Give the hairy dog a good scrub a dub dub so that it doesn't smell. Then tell her if she goes down into the basement with her, then you will do the same for her.

Excellent way to word your question! BRAVO! LOL

Maybe try cleaning it a bit better than "pretty good" or ask her for suggestions on how to make it a place she would like to go. Tell her you want her company.

Time for a good trim to make it more appealing. Also try flavor lotions to make it taste good and tell her to lick it like a Lolly pop.

Take the dog to the groomers and tell your wife to quit being so finicky.
