My ? is has anyone recently been to niagara falls an if so do you nessasarily need to have a passport to go there. I've looked on the website an it says that not until next year will we need them but I just want to know for sure before I get all the way there an need it.

You do not need a passport from the USA if you are travelling by car.
By plane you would need one to come to canada and return into the USA

If you are a US citizen, you do not yet need a passport for ground crossings - only air.

Photo ID and birth certificates are a good idea, however, especially on reentering the US.
