Yes there are some people who suggest they are. If you look on youtube there are some interesting videos on the subject. I'm not completely sure but I think David Icke also beleives this.

To Johnny Sane. I think that you will find that satanist do infact worship Satan and that there is predifined ceremonies. As far as it not being a secret society people may know of it's existance but know very little about it. and your living proof of that? learn a little more about then post you answer

As far as I know as a Mason, there is no connection between the two groups. Most fraternal groups in western culture have been patterned after Freemasonry, including college fraternities/sororities, Scouting, and strangely the Mormons. There are several groups or organizations that have been thought to control policy either on a local or global extent, however if you look at the whole picture of national policy it seems extremely unlikely. Conspiracy theorist will pick and choose events that support their "theory" but a close and objective examination will show these to be an exercise in making the facts fit. A good example of this was the movie "23"... I haven't hear the term "ride the goat" in Masonry, however some lodges have in the past "hazed" a candidate before initiation. Often this "hazing" included jokes about greasing a pig or other attempts at humor. Edit: The 33rd degree is an "honorary" degree given to both masons and non-masons based on service to humanity.

NO!!!
Why? Not necessarily Satanic but yes evil! Remember Christianity is not the only religion in the world and well you have to be Christian accept the Christian philosophy to equally accept the other side of the coin which is Satanism.
Other religions have their variations for example Nazi's practices were based on their own religion and nothing to do with anything still present today. So not a golden rule. As for the skull and crossbones its more of a Voodoo adapted process than purely Christian. Voodooism comes from the Caribbean mixture of their cannibalistic tribe religions mixed with Christianity into a kind of evil and primitive system. However corn dolly's etc... go way back a good 2000 - 6000 years before Christianity so there is no connection to Satanism just practiced in the name of.

As in the wannabe secret society? Hah!
First off, actual Satanism has no set 'rituals,' per se (nor do Satanists actually worship Satan - the label's for shock value, but that's another issue).
Secondly, the rituals were more likely based off of Middle Ages Roman Catholic rites. Or, more likely, someone just made them up off the top of their head for maximum "secret & spooky" factor.
