I inherited a company car which turned out to be infested with small red ants. Under the hood, in the car, etc.
Had it professionally exterminated which didn't help.
A really horrible problem.
Finally discovered the source. The rubber seal around the windshield was packed with dead ants and live ones feeding on them.
Pealed back the rubber with a screwdriver all the way round the windshield and washed them out with water.
That finally did the trick.

there is something in your car that they want to eat, i would clean , vaccum, and armor all surfaces - everything. If you still have ants, i would stick a Grants ant stick where you see them. BE PREPARED , THEY WILL ATTRACT the ants to the ant stick, and you will see alot, but in a day or two, they will die out.

Ants need three things to survive: Food, water and shelter.

You need to find out what your vehicle is providing them. I would suspect there is a food item lost in the vehicle that they found. You need to find it and dispose of it. Once there isn't an item of interest for the ants, they'll leave on their own.

Stop spilling food or soda in the car, fix any window leaks, and they will be gone. No food, no water, no ants. It's very simple.

In the south we use uncooked grits. Put them on the ant hill. The ants will feed them to the queen and she will die.

Well, this is better than having ants in your pants.

I suggest you buy a few ant traps, they will be attracted to them and get stuck inside.
