I am a big reader. I read a book sometimes two a week. I really enjoy Agatha Christie, Donald Bain, and Stephen King. Can anyone suggest another author similar to them that is as interesting? I have tried to read Dean Koontz and Mary Higgins Clark and cannot get into their work. Paranormal mystery is good too. Help, I don't want to run out of books.

I've run into the same problem as you! I love Stephen King and Agatha Christie, but Dean Koontz is just a little too predictable for my tastes. There are a few other authors I've enjoyed reading along the way, though. P.D. James of course, and Jeffrey Deaver (the mind behind "The Bone Collector"). I haven't read many, but what I've read of Anne Rice's books seem to be impressive.

If you're a little more adventurous, you could look into Sarah Waters' books. Fantastic writer, great plot twists. Try "Affinity" or "Fingersmith" first.

Good luck! I think I'm just as interested as you are to find out what everyone else is reading!

If you like Agatha Christie you should try out Arthur Conan Doyle's stories about Sherlock Holmes.

I can also recommend James Patterson, Dennis Lehane and Ian Rankin.

I really am addicted to James Patterson books. I also like Michael Connelly is good for edge of your seat thrills, too. I agree with you King is King; Koontz is a little predictable.
