Labor time to install is approx 3.5 hrs. This includes evacuating and recharging the system. Some R-134 freon might be needed. A 94 Camry requires 1.8-2.0 lbs at $12-$15 per. Check the shop's labor rates and warranty. Some shops may not even want to get involved if you supply the part.

Most automotive shops charge between 60.00 and 85.00 dollars anhour. When an new ac compressor is installed, you have to replace the dryer as well. The system has to be pumped down and the freon is the expensive part of it all. Also, many shops will not install your parts and if they do, they will not warrantee the work as they have no idea as to the condition or reliability of the part. Good luck!

First answer correct.
I not think it be over $100. Most shop now use a Freon Recovery Unit (EPA stuff). So, if it not a freon conversion, most of your Freon can be reused.
A shop here will install parts a person buy. BUT! They say they will install Bumper-to-Bumper parts and warranty the part, as this where they get a lot of their parts. They will install a part from Auto-Zone, but, as stated they can not warranty the part.
