I had this happen as well.... always remember the golden rule... "what you consider to be abandonned is not"
Momma is only out looking for food.... they do not stay with the nest at all times....
I actually uncovered mine with my lawn mower.... Thankfully I did not hurt any of the lil ones.
Keep an eye on them a few days.... DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TOUCH THEM.... If you find in a few days momma has not come back or has not moved them call your local wild life station... they will be able to give you the best advice on what to do, If they do not come and get the babies and treat them... They will more then likely place them back out in the wild when they are ready to go.
Also remember to keep children and other animals aways from the Nest/den there is nothing like watch nature take its course and seeing momma bring those bunnies to the world.!!!
Good Luck. Don't forget to get a few pics for your memories...

Baby rabbits are very hard to take care of. If the babies are out of the den then they are probably already weaned. If the rabbits have eyes open and are about the size of your palm they are weaned and mom is already done her job and is gone.
I would leave them alone. You have the potential to do more harm then good. Wild rabbits stress in captivity and that stress will kill them. You may want to call a local vet and get the number for a wildlife rehibilitator, they are trained in the care of wild animals. Its the sick rabbits best chance.
Leave the healthy ones alone. Take the sick one and place it in a deep box or cage. Place it in a very quiet and dimly lit/dark room. Call the rehibilitator, they will either pick it up, or have you drop it off at a close by location.

Leave them be Mom oftentimes leaves them but comes back to feed them. Place some grass or plant clippings over them( not a lot ) and check on them the next day mom usually comes back at night and will move the clippings to get to her babies. Also rabbits tend to ween their young very early so if their eyes are open they might be on their own as far as the ill one sadly nature can be like that

Hi Chris-well spotted! I'm guessing you're in the UK, the best thing to do is ring the RSPCA, contact numbers on the link below, they'll tell you exactly how to proceed.
If you are not in the UK just Google 'Animal Welfare' & the appropriate organisation for your country will be found, good luck.

Call the vet or the Humane Society. They can do house calls. Until then, make sure to feed them. Carrots, or lettuce, broccoli. anything like that until the vet can come!

well if it was me i would take them to the vet chances are the mom has already abandoned them because of possible sickness . I would feed them just to see if they are eating . if not then I would definately take them to the vet and be carefull they are wild and you can contract rabies so I would wear heavy duty gloves when handling them . good luck .

ok. I have actually been in the same situation twice. both times we wrapped them a blanket (one beacuse he jumped in our pool)
wrap it in a blanket, put it in a spare cage if you have one and put some water and leaves in therer.
(They might have deises though)
