Since UAE and Bahrain are different countries, there is no sense of sponsorship transfer. Your proposed employer has apply for a work visa from Dubai for you.

The procedure for obtaining a work visa from UAE is, firstly the employer has to submit the application at the Ministry of Labor for the initial approval. Normally it will take one week for the approval of visa committee, and sometimes they will forward the application to the inspection department for verification. If it happens, then it will take some more time to complete the formalities of physical inspection to the sponsors/employers establishment.

Once they approved, the Immigration dept will issue the visa on the next day. You can directly travel from Bahrain to UAE as soon as your visa is ready.

Good luck and welcome to UAE.

This case is not unknown. It depends on your contract with the company. As for mine, we do have a clause that covers transfers within GCC.

You have a good company with you. They are honoring the contract issued to you hence they are looking at a possibility of getting you in Dubai instead because they could not secure an NOC for you in Bahrain. They just have to apply for a UAE visa for you and should you be lucky enough to receive your visa, ask them to send you a revised contract with your benefits stipulated according to the UAE Labour laws.
