They voted for him they can deal with him. The US would do well to stop meddling in other countries and deal with our own problems.
The only reason our government hates Chavez is because he socialized the oil contracts took them over and is forcing the oil companies there to pay a higher percentage to Venezuela then they previously were.
As if our government gives a crap about brutal dictators.Well they do, when said brutal dictator stops toeing the line.

Why would it matter when the UN begs us to act, unless we're stupid enough to bother with it?
The only way I'd support the US interfering with Venezuela's self-created problems is sending Hillary down as the next President of Venezuela. Both countries would be better off.

i admire chavez for standing up to the US and seeking to bring prosperity to the poorest people of venezuela
but his decision not to renew the terrestrial broadcasting licence of RCTV, Venezuela's oldest private TV station, is an infringement of fundamental human rights

I seriously just heard a Venezuelan on the news saying the US needs to be helping them overthrow him. Yeah, right.
Aw, Blueridge/Stephanie, seems someone hit a nerve about your sweet Chavez.

Chavez and his ilk are an embarrassment to true communists. He is just another petty two-bit thug.

haven't we learned that we should keep our nose out of the business of other nations and their legally elected officials? Using military might to sway people to democracy is no different than extremists using terror to sway people to Islam.
