Rubbing alcohol (isopropol) is chemically missing a water molecule and will absorb water readily--do not use Heat as that is wood alchohol--different chemically and not as good. Depends on how much water is in the tank and lines---you could disconnect the fuel line, hook up a longer hose to outside the car and into a container and run the pump (if it's electric) to pump out as much as you can. Water is heavier than gas so it should come out first.

is it a lot of water or is it just you think there is water there if its just a little just buy a couple bottles of gas treatment add it when you buy gas one then drive it down half tank and do it again... should do the trick is best not to drive on low fuel thats where all the trash is at and will cause problems and you should add fuel treatment every once in a whiles just so it dont happen it also helps keep everythiung clean and running right

the best way to do it is drain the tank, it may have a drain plug, but since you werent specific about what kind of vehicle, the tank may have to be removed completely.
