I worked in one for 7 years or so. These are "outlet" stores, which are supposed to be cheaper, and in many cases they are...

You have to be a careful shopper. Some/many items you will find are defective in some minor way. Jeans may have an imperfection in the weave of the denim, misplaced rivets, or even twisted seams. Other items will be stuff that was over-ordered or Under-sold at regular stores. Ifan item didn't sell in regular mall, they re-price it for outlet malls.

One last thing- Now many manufacturers are making/buing items JUST to sell at their Outlets. These items may carry tags that "suggest" that they are discounted items, but since they were never offered in retail stores, it is not a true savings.

I have been to one in Lancaster Pa.

Different from a regular mall. Prices cheaper. They have 62 brand name manufacturer and designer outlet stores, including Brooks Brothers, Kenneth Cole, Liz Claiborne, Polo Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Sketchers, etc.

I have been at an Aeropostale outlet at Prime Outlets in Hagerstown, Maryland, and if you like their style, it is worth a trip.

i was their last Saturday. i have found the prices to either the same or better. it depends on the store. it's the selection that's better. the store's carry the high end of what the brand offers. like guess. they offer the nice stuff were at a mall they will sell the mass produced cheaper stuff.

Yup. The prices are generally cheaper. However, not all outlets have amazing deals.

I've been to a couple, one in Texas one in Alabama, one in Mississippi - they generall have much cheaper prices and a lot of times you can find stores like Tommy, Gap, etc. I've even seen a Mikasa crystal store and Bali - great undies - you can go to (http://www.tangeroutlet.com/center and find a location near you and then go to the store directory to find out what all's there! Have fun!!
