Working is interactive. When I took Business Management I did this because one day I wanted to be self-employed. One thing the Teacher said was decide what we wanted to do and work in that type business for a few years. Learn everything we could about that business. Where they buy their products, Rent and Utility Bills etc. Then this help prepare us for our own business as we know some things beforehand instead of learning through Trial and Error.

Business books can be pretty dry. Just try leafing through a book on accounting! Business simulation is a great way to get familiar with true business, and to apply the ‘dry’ techniques you’ve learned from textbooks. There’s an online business simulation site called the Informatist ( http://www.informatist.net/ ), which is a good way to go online and practice what you’ve learned.
