Bad childhoods happen to all races, religions and demographic backgrounds -- Why should that cause one to be gay escapes me.

I know a number of people who were abused as a child, they are straight -- I was not abused and I am gay.

There is no causal relationship established in science or psychology between being gay and prior experience of abuse. This is an urban myth or old wives' tale, which ever you prefer, which has circulated for many years but has never been true.

Could sexual abuse (female adult to male child) lead to heterosexuality in the childs adult life?

Chances are it could lead to the child to grow up to be a sexual predator.

No.

Whether a male child is homosexual is determined by his genetic make up.

What could happen though is that the child could be traumatized in such a way to have the idea that such sexual abuse is the only way he can get his "sexual release" and perpetuate that on someone in the next generation (and it goes on and on).

Homosexuals do not condone such behavior for any reason.

Yes I believe there is....

I know this is not a popular answer in the gay community, But I was molested and turned out not only gay,but transsexual... I have asked many of my gay friends for years... most of the guys were abused by a man and most girls were as well.... I think it has to do with the first experiences... I never once thought about sleeping with a girl.. I was married to a guy for over 7 years

THIS IS NOT TRUE FOR EVERYONE

But what makes me come to this conclusion is that after my husband was gone I fell in love with a girl an I will never look back... I wish I had tried it sooner, but like I said I feel as though being with a man so early in life made me not think about women the same.

I would think not. I would assume the result would be much like any other case of sexual abuse, which at many times leaves the victim with a fear of intimacy or being touched.

Not quite...
But sometimes the child would be an abuser later on himself.

It could. Of course, not always.
I strongly believe that sexual abuse in childhood leaves terrible scars on sexual life later, including homosexuality.

No it could lead to homophobia when they are scared of gay guys doing sexual things to them.

My grandfather molested all eight of his children. None of them are gay and only one never had sex again. Of course it made the boys all turn out to be *** bashers. But that was my problem growing up not yours....lol
