I will make two assumptions, you're talking about the sail boat and it's wooden. The most important thing in that regard is ventilation, keep dry-air moving throughout the hull. And don't neglect the spars.

Definitely keep in the shade but do not cover it with a tarp or any thing that traps the air resulting in condensation. Any dust cover must be able to breathe and should be removed regularly for inspection and allowing the hull to breathe. You can also have a low-wattage light bulb in closed areas to aid in reduction of humidity.

Regular waxing of coated surfaces is advised for UV protection. Oil uncoated wood. Don't let dirt or leaves accumulate. Keep metal clean and polioshed if possible/ Even a light coat of oil can attract dust. Grease can trap water. Join a club of Dragons or wooden classic boats for hints from like minded folks.

And use it gently. Good Luck!

Keep it well-lacquered and under shade when not in use. Ensure that the wood does not crack under the hot sun.
