john, nice to hear u wanna quit smoking. going by the experience of a family member (who was a smoker since 20 yrs), i can just say one thing.
you either quit it or u dont. therez nothing like a trying to quit.
dont reduce it and all... quit it at one go. i know its damn hard, may affect ur health also for a while..bt dude, it will work out to be d best of all other options.

try it.. try out how good is ur will power..challenge ur limits john.

its my personal request to quit smoking as well as ask othjers to do so.
well if u feel like smoking try having a candy,bubble gum or cardomom or clove.
try drinking lots of fluids.
try leading a happy life.
think about the bad consequences of smoking.
but if u r a chain smoker u need professional guidance.

yep the next time u smoke take a white hanky and clean your mouth and you can see black precipitate of the smoke.

there are many things that can help you quit somking...
you just need to know where to start, and that place is with yourself. Ask yourself do you REALLY want to stop smoking? and with enough will power you can stop without the aid of anything.

i suggest a smoking sessation class. most hospitals offer them for free and are usually run by ex smokers. they can teach you all the strategies you may need.
