The only way I'd lose weight is if it were the Diet of Worms.

Its a well known fact that diets do not work, in fact they make you fatter. Yes, it's true you do lose weight on fewer calories and more exercise, but the minute you stop the diet, the weight just piles back on, usually more than you started out with in the first place. also, when you are on a diet you are constantly thinking of food you cannot eat. The best way to lose weight is to forget about diets all together and just have a LITTLE of what you fancy whan ever you want. If you dont feel guilty about what you eat, you will eat less of what you shouldn't and lose weight naturally. It's all about how you see yourself, think thin!
Take a look a Paul McKenna's book, I can make you thin

A slim chance is good. I guess its the most appropriate description. I'd love to have a slim chance by all means. A food for thought - that's a good one. If I am on a diet, I'd probably have lots of foods for thought. It will help me a lot to get that slim chance.

I have never been on a diet, but i believe that the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.
