The way I handle it is;
I don't criticize Edwards for his wife having cancer. I criticize him for being a disingenuous, ambulance-chasing shyster with the integrity of a con man
I don't criticize Obama for being black, I criticize him for being a no-talent beginner lib without a clue.
I don't criticize Hillary for being a woman because I'm not sure that she is, but besides that I criticize her for being a felonious swindler with delusions of grandeur.
They can play that victim card all they want but the real victims will be the American Citizens if any of these people manage to get themselves elected.

Uhg I cant stand Angalina Jolie. I mean i hope she doesnt die from cancer, but i just hate how every one makes her look like this saint. There are plenty other amazing woman in the world who would love to be ambassadors but dont have the money to just go where ever the hell they want. Give some real people some credit for once

Liberals honestly think that because they yell and scream the loudest, that they represent that majority in this country. They do NOT. As far as Edwards, Obama, and Clinton, let me simply say this.........
Edwards - An ex-ambulance chasing attourney who has helped contribute to outrageous medical insurance costs thanks to his ridiculous lawsuits.
Obama - A chain smoking senator with limitted experience and questionable family ties that thinks that socialism and communism will make this country great.
Clinton - Recently defended her position to support President Bush's Iraq plan, sighting that she believes he will reduce troop numbers over the next few months! This, after spending the last 4 years trying to pretend that she didn't vote for military action in Iraq in 2002! Can you say flip flop - flip flop - flip flop back again?

Liberal's will use any tactic they can to pry on sympathy, and twist and turn truths to spew out venom every chance they get. They are the ones who will get this country attacked again...a liberal, is someone who is against anything decent anymore, including the seditious act of sympathy for terrorists and claiming to love the troops, but cutting off their funding..this is all about money, and greed...so look out gang..let a liberal run the country, maybe Nanna pelosi...the sicko...and see who quick you get hit again...the liberals are eager to take money from anyone and would sell out our country for a dime....Obama is part white, or did anyone forget that fact?...Edwards can be critized, for using his wife for pity,.the phoney.....and since has Hellery ever claimed to be anything more than a tough broad? LOL

That's a little bit interesting; I haven't heard any liberals say that these people "cannot" be criticized, and particularly not for these reasons.
I have heard accusations that the criticism of these candidates is BASED on those things... whether that's true or not, it's not the same thing as saying they cannot be criticized because of some minority status or health issue.
To be fair, I don't understand why a lot of opponents of, for instance, Hillary Clinton, choose to criticize her for her physical appearance or claim that she's a lesbian simply because she is a strong, outspoken woman in a leadership position in this country. Certainly, if she is worthy of opposition, she is worthy of that opposition for what she stands for, not for what she looks like or for someone's perception of her sexual preference, no?
There is hypocrisy and childishness on all sides.

I have read many items in the newspapers and weekly magazines that criticize, or report criticism, of Edwards, Obama, and H. Clinton. I do find many assertions here are opinions without any plausible data to suppost a particular claim. This seems to be one such claim.

No but you've clearly demonstrated the republican way. That way is to bring up and constantly repeat non sequiturs rather than addressing the issues that face this country. You've demonstrated the intellectual laziness of so many on the right.

I think that the issue is that the right makes personal attacks. You do not want to discuss plans or programs or policies you want to attack on a personal level and this should be banned for both sides
