my best girl friend and i were talking about this - so annoying. ive definitely had lust at first sight lol...but love? i think its complete bullshit to say you love someone when you dont know who they are. love is something that takes time and getting to know someone in order to develop. if by chance they fall in love and stay together 4ever (eww...) then it just means they were compatable. nothing more. you dont actually love people at first sight...thats my opinion.

Whats yours?

Sometimes (not often) a person might catch the eye of another in a way that is deeper than lust. A very strong desire to be with this person and build a relationship, even if based only on instinct, results. I would call that love at first sight.

I believe that love at first sight occurs when souls who are destined to be together meet through a devine plan. It doesn't mean that all heavenly matches must have love at first sight, but I do believe this can happen. I've experienced it. It's like a punch in the face.

It took me 6 years to admit I loved my husband and now, after 18 years of being together, I can say I am just now feeling a mature love for him. NO love at first sight, only lust.

I think many people fall prey to attraction at first sight and it seldom happens that people fall in love. Love need not be every time that which u r speaking of.......
and when we first came to this world everyone was stranger to us we started believing and developing relations same thing applies when we meet a new person. The love u r speaking is concerned about the outlook which demands attraction and so u r case may need not bother about a stranger only beauty matters in this case and rest is upto to the individuals. love happens it wont develop as u think and it has nothing to do with time/duration its like a point on a plain paper whose dimensions r not defined.............................

When people use the term 'love at first sight' they are talking about physical attraction (lust, maybe in a early stage). Its the physical attraction that usually brings people together, love can follow.

Years ago while picking up my daughters from school and looked across the yard and locked eyes with a teacher, he smiled and I was stunned. He wasn't overly handsome, but the feeling I got when we looked at each other was amazing, he tried to come over to me but was in charge of a hoard of grade 1r's. I am happily married, but am also grateful for that moment, as its mine and cheers me up when feeling down. Yes I believe in love at first sight.

Yes, but it is not as important as true love. Love at first sight may fade but true love will last forever. Then you have unconditional love, real love, and faithfull love. These are all great loves. Stay away from tainted love, unrequited love, jealous love and love of money.

I met a girl and was in love with her right away but later on I really hated her even though I was in love I didn't love. Now, I am happily married and love and am in love with my wife and the love is real.

No, I believe in lust at first sight.

I knew my husband for 9 years before becoming interested in him. I just looked at him one day after those 9 years and it hit me.

We've been married for 5 years, today in fact! :)
