Can you make an MS-DOS startup disk on a Flash Drive and have it boot?

My motherboard says that it CAN boot to a flash drive, and this would come in handy since computer companies are getting cheap and just not putting in the floppy drives.

I actually tried this and failed. Even though my BIOS was set to boot from it first. Maybe I should try again sometime, I don't think floppies are all that reliable anyway.
