yes,if the MASTER is very good he can make the student even better than himself...if jealousy doesn't take over!!

If it is your dream to become a master at some martial art you must keep your dream. My Martial arts Master did many things in his life before becoming a Master. He held on to his dream and worked on it when he had opportunities. It wasn't until late in life that he became a master. Before he became a master he fought in a war for a few years, than he had to finish school and worked managing a maintenance department for a big company to pay the bills and take care of his family. He trained when he had the time and worked very hard to learn his art under the best teachers he could find. Now He is a master known well in the Martial arts community. It is a long and good journey as he likes to say. It is a journey without an end. Try to be patient. I know youth is in a hurry. I know you will be a great Master if you stay focused on your dream and be a good student wherever you are whatever you are learning weather math science reading or martial arts. A great master needs them all. The Masters I know all have some higher education, some have PhD.

Those masters were somebody else's students....
If some students cannot surpass their master, Science would be soon dead. Some students being better than their masters, moves the world forward. This is how I see it.
