I have noticed this time and time again. When there is a pretty intelligent woman within a group full of people some women start bitching about her. Is it to do with inferiority.... insecurities.... or is it just what some women are like??

jealousy, inferiority, insecurities are all reasons. women don't like the competition, they all want to be the pretty one and if they're not they slag off the one that is.
it tells you a lot more about them then the person they are talking about.

It is definitely inferiority complex. At such times u have to be self confident . Confidence to face the beauty is something very difficult. Of course some women are complex and as they say borne with bitchiness. Stop being one and let the answer pass.

Some Women feel as if they are competing with other Women and act badly when they feel threatened by another. Some Women do this out of their own jealousy and self doubt.
Men do the same but in different ways.
I guess it is just some peoples nature.

not just women, men are just as bad. It's the herd instinct, if someone feels threatened by the intelligent or/and good looking one in a group of people they'll do their best to undermind them and people love gossip so its hard not to join in. It's so universal, I wonder if there's a 'gossip' set of genes.

Certainly I know all about this.Too bad I couldn't give a sure answer,but I've come to believe they do feel inferior and want to make her feel lower than them so that they can feel superior.It's all about competion.
