they keep coming on my email and my children are always around -and I dont want them exposed to that nasty stuff?

Well, if you are using a free service like hotmail or yahoo, their spam filtering is horrible. You can tell them it's spam but that rarely helps. Other than that...how about try and not open them? Don't open emails from sources you don't know.
