Should the BCCI selectors also consider the opinions of the fans on who to select. On the top of my player wish list is L.Balaji. Sehwag got tons of chances and he only capitalized a few of them. Balaji was hit by injury and since then he is nowhere to be seen, should he be given a few more chances just like Sehwag. He is heck of a good bowler.

But does BCCI care what the fans want?
How is this message going to reach them?
They make money of the us in the first place.

BCCI should not interfere in team selection They should manage the BOARD professionally.Selectors be given free hand in selection. No quota system,no zone.Only performance to be considered.Balaji shold definitely be given a chance.

If BCCI or Selectors listen to the suggestions of cricket fans, there will be utter confusion and they will not be able to select ateam. Balaji was also given enough opportunities but he could not capitalise the same. How can a player prone to injuries very often can be depended when other better choiices are available.

It is a worth statement. But, there are lot of blind fans, without any point will recommend their local hero. So, it will prove the BCCI a worst platform.

But even now, thru media, BCCI should be definitely watching the fans fever and based on that they will select the candidate. For ex., if there is a match in the state, they will trial a local boy as a debutant.*

Fans don't know what is going inside the dressing room.
So selections should be kept only within the selectors and dressing room.

As for BALAJI, did you know that he has recently undergone SURGERY in London and has not yet started playing first class cricket?

Same with NEHRA

no i don't think the BCCI should listen to the fans coz every tom,**** and harry thinks hes a cricket expert and has his own opinion no matter how hopeless it maybe..i think if the BCCI started listening to the fans it would lead to even more chaos in the selections then there already is.....

they could. but it wont workout, cuz they would get numerous response and would spend all of their time reading fans' suggestions than pick a team.
