search in "startup menu > microsoft office >"
if there is no any icon then reinstall office packet
PS. it is good to check your computer from viruses (use NOD32 for that - http://www.eset.com/)

If you don't have the discs, go for the free office suite. It includes spreadsheet capabilities. Google 'Free Office Suite'

I suggest using openoffice.org office suite. It's better than microsoft, and it's completely free. It supports microsoft file formats. http://openoffice.org
