Allowing myself to face my fears, grief, and pain. Then, making time to feel better! Planning things that help me feel good about myself and others. Making time for loving myself, like indulging in candle light dinners for one where I make myself fancy dinners, or meditation, or going for walks, etc. I protect myself from negative energy… Like here; I don't answer things that make me angry or feel ugliness toward another. I remind myself that they are allowed their opinions/feelings, but I needn't indulge in them.

Also, I do not read the paper or watch the news anymore. In college, they told me it was important to be ‘up’ on current events… but they are anything but ‘UP!’ When my son want to Iraq, I realized I just couldn't listen anymore…. And I have been happier since. I don't need to know who’s killing who, or hurting another. It only hurt me. The news in inaccurate anyway and sensationalistic, not caring about the pain and paranoia they promote! Cutting them from my life helped a LOT!

What?

Another question.

You are driving me crazy.

And believe me it is a short drive.

How do I maintain my sanity?

Spackle.

I just fill in the cracks when I see them so you think they are not there. My foundation shifted years ago. And I slap on a new coat of paint and I look perfect until the roof caves in.

Where is Home Improvememt when I need them?

Later.

Take a break often from anything routine. Spend some quality time with your loved ones. Be quiet, enjoy the silence, watch nature and the beauty of it. Reading books can bring you great amount of satisfaction and peace. I can go on listing out a lot of things like that.

I would have to say that there are 2 things. Music is number 1 and cleaning is number 2, I know that number 2 sounds kinda crazy but that is what I do when I am frustrated.

Ideally? Taking time off, going on a holiday and thinking about nothing. Once I'm relaxed and recomposed, put everything that happened in a logical order and perspective, and plan what to do about it. Have a good weekend.
