first of all i'll let you know, i am on the progesteron only pill and am sexually active.
normally there are 29/30 days between each period and they only last 4or 5 days. so i know something is definately not right.

it started to go wrong in april i had my period normally, but was on again within 22 days, then that period lasted 8/9 days. i was off for 2/3 days, and then i was back on again for 7 days. ( see its too long for just a normal sort of off day and then back on for a day, which i sometimes experienced but that was normally after 3 or 4 days, not 9!)

I then thought this is fine, it'll just be stress due to my exams, (even though i dont really feel stressed) but today after only 5 days off, im back on again. I so tired and its not helping revision cos i only want to sleep.
Just to add, sex is slightly painful, but i ahve only been sexually active for 2 and a 1/2 months, so im not sure if this has anything to do with it? neither of us had had sex before. Please help!

go back and see your doctor right away

this is not right, and horrid for you

these is a lot of different types of pill and other forms of contraception

some just dont suit some woman , so go back see the doctor and change to another type

i tried lots of different ones before i found a way that suited me.

depropovara injection.

but again that does not suit everyone,

most of my friends have now got the rod implants in their arms and says its fine, but again it wont suit everone.

dont just put up with this ok

Its likely to be a issue with your pill perhaps the strength is not right. It could however be something more serious I would go straight to your doctors they can offer you the best advise. In things like that its always worth a visit to see your GP.

when i went onto the implant(cerazette) i didnt have a period for 3 months then mine was 3 weeks long,if u aren't at risk of STI's then it will be the hormones in the pill, the mycrogynon is generally perscribed to younger people, speak to your doctor or family planning clinic advisor its a common problem
for now though hot water bottles and ibruprofen!

Please don't wait too long before seeing an OB/GYN person. You may have developed endometriosis, that's where little bits of tissue from the endometrium ( the lining of the uterus) have attached themselves to other parts in your body. Endometriosis causes heavy bleeding, increased periods and pain. One of the major side effects is anemia from the increased loss of blood.
Please have this checked out soon.

The Manfreds. The song was even called 5-4-3-2-1, which I think was very nice of them.

See your local family planning nurse or go to your GP.

Duh, call your doctor, not ask a website where most posters have no idea what they are talking about. Real answer is: it might be normal or it might not, and no poster here has sufficient knowledge or access to medical observations to be able to tell you.
