I won't bother with the link, and mean no offense, but I suspect you don't have enough first hand information, or have you done enough research to understand the culture. Perhaps too, you've seen too many Harry Potter films?
I'm curious as to why anyone wants to avoid another, simply because of a difference in belief systems, or ways another conducts ones life?
Obviously you might consider not going out on Halloween too?
The WORD Witch has for centuries had negative connotations, and drastic, insane results occured to people who were TAGGED as such. Ignorance is a word I'd attach to anyone who doesn't at least make an effort to understand.
No I'm not a Witch, Warlock, or Wizard. I'm GOOD, not GOD, but was raised by my Native American Grandmother, who was revered as a Shaaman. In your thought process that certainly may equate to a Witch? OH BTW, she did have Jet Black, Waist length hair; often wore an odd hat, though not pointed; Did use a broom, but I was the only one in my family who ever attempted "flight."
I suppose another thought might be; WHY would you imagine that ANYONE who had been, or still is Persecuted, would come forward professing, " I AM"
Now to end this, and again with no real offense, I offer an analogy. How many "Christians" might you imagine, live in the Mid East? Of any number you suppose, how many do you imagine walk around "blatantly" advertising the fact?

If you mess with them and are subsequently turned into a frog, then the chances are that you were dealing with a witch.

They Usually have a broom, a pointy hat, long black hair,a lot of pimpels and a black cat... oh and they`r really UG-LY... ok, some are pretty I guess.

Yup, pointy hats, black cats, crooked nose, black clothes, rides a broomstick. And its lots of warts, not pimples :)

they have pointy hats,cats and broomsticks and can be found in the supermarket buying eye of toad,claw of owl etc
