Oh God! Don't be harsh on the poor things. Give them a chance and you will certainly understand and be understood. There's though something that irritates me about these centres, which is the time they make you wait until they put you to someone.

I TOTALLY agree....these poor buggers have to have a degree to sit in some chicken coop of a call centre being paid peanuts compared to UK workers....AND they have to put up with us.
Typical call problem...Jeremy Clarkson calls to get an insurance quote on a Bugatti. The Call handler asks 'Sorry, a Rover?'...nooooooooooooooooooooooo a BUGATTI!!!!!
I feel sooooooooo sorry for the call handlers, and they think they're getting a good deal!! Your not!!!! Do a conversion degree & come over here & be our doctors....they're all ditching us anyway!!!

I work with offshore contact centres, have done for 6 years. It's hard to get angry but some people don't even give them a chance to help, they just decide they aren't Engish and slag them.
I work for NU and we have carried otu marketing with thousands of customers, who claim the xperience with offshore staff is better than they ever got onshore.

Irritating as hell. Most of the time I have to go through two or three to get one I can half way understand. And it isn't only a UK problem we have the same problem over here in US as well.

It doesn't take a Koranic scholar to draw these dots together. This false promise is used during brain-washing as incentive to blow oneself to pieces, taking out as many as possible in the process. 72 virgins to kill innocent civilians and yourself? It is a LURE.. an illusion to bait these hungry fish. What's the reward when a fish bites the bait?

Was speaking with a lady on an enquiry desk in the UK, who I'm sure could have solved my problem herself, was told I was being put through to the sales department (in India!!), had to put the phone down, didn't understand a word she was saying!!!! Unfortunately, we seem to be stuck with this system while BT have the monopoly on call charges!!

Its very irritating as most of them can't understand Scottish accents. I end up apologising and hanging up.
