Press Start, My Computer, System Information in the Control Panel or on the left panel of my computer, go to hardware, than choose device manager, and check display adapters.

Or Right click on your desktop and choose properties, than go to Settings, should say under display

Its either a AGP video card or the newer technology which is PCI Express video card. AGP video cards are used on the older computers like, pentium 3 and pentium 4. So if you have P3 or P4 chances are you have a AGP video card.

There are many ways to find out what type of video card your PC requires. This is just one of the ways of finding out. If your computer is a company brand like dell or compusa or sony, etc you can enter in your PC code at the website and it should tell you the computer's specifications.

Click Start, then Run, type dxdiag, OK. Direct X Diagnostic Tool will open. Click on the Display tab. The info you want is in "Device".
