They are not fictitious yet are the most poignant.Do you agree? But why did thier intense deep love always had a tragic end? And if you believe in Karmic association do you think they could have met or united later?(I know the question might sound wierd but I wonder)Why are there no true love legends in other parts of the world or am I wrong?

All these stories are facts which have had bad ends. This is mainly because-since ancient times True Love has never been tolerated by people. The world it seems are enemies of true lovers. They dont even leave them alone and let them live in peace. Its sad but true!
As you have said-it could be karmic association also-but to that extent only that they are together.

They all are true stories to highlight us the fact that love has great tenacity and even in the most adverse circumstances it persists and glows undimmed. It is just by the quirk of circumstances that the lovers in these stories could not find a happy end!

they are all folk tales.
every part of the world has its own pairs of lovers.the love had a tragic end coz the society does not want to encourage ppl to love each other, maintain it as the forbidden fruit so that it can exercise its power and control on us.
