ok lets start with something that was put on the internet about a month ago thats fact.
First of all did you read this from Supershadow.com?
dont trust that site, despite its claim it has nothing to do with George Lucas or anyone connected with Lucas Arts
Second, here is something i read about a month ago that is fact
George Lucas has announced plans to do 2 mini movies on tv in adition to the tv series that has been in the works since the end of Ep 3
While they will have no connection to the series story line, he has not announced any story line for the two movies.
Both will be aproximately 1 hr each.
now here's something that might or might not be fact.
A few years ago i heard of a guy who ran into lucas on a beach soon after Ep 3 came out.
He asked Lucas if he ever planned to do another Episode for Star Wars. Lucas said probably not, at least not in the near future, but some day he might consider it.
When he asked Lucas if it might be a prequel or a sequel, Lucas said that he would love to go back 800 years before ep1 where a young yoda helps win the sith wars.
So you can take all this as fact or rumor. I cant site a site where the announcement was because my search on the page no longer shows it.
But this is all from various sources.
One other thing that i should bring up.
In 1992 or so, George Lucas started looking at makeing a 7-9 because and this was kind of interesting. They had come upon some warehouses that they thought had long since beemn empty, full of original models and other items from the movies. This got George thinking of doing 7-9.
At the time, and i would still love to see this be 7-9 if he ever does it, he wanted to take Timothy Zahn's "Heir the Empire" series and make it into 3 movies.
I really dont see any other books in all the years since Retun of the jedi being worth making into 3 movies then that.
most are one book or 30.

George Lucas getting the old dollar signs come up in his eyes. It's kind of been off and on again for a long time - supposedly the guy that plays Chewbacca had it written into his contract that he would have to do more star Wars films, but this could just be a rumour. The Wikipedia site has quite a few interesting facts on the star Wars trilogies and rumours of 7 - 9. May I ask out of interest where you heard this rumour?

I did hear that there would be Episodes 7, 8 & 9 but plans to actually make them were dropped for good because Episodes 1, 2 & 3 did very badly when they came out.
I actually saw Eposides 1, 2 & 3 and I did think all three were a pile of shite and totally ruined the high reputation earned by the original trilogy when they came out. A few of my friends share this view and so I can easily see how and why Episodes 7, 8 & 9 will not be made.

it is not true at all. In the next year or so there is gonna be a animated series about the clone wars. And in 2010 there will be a live action tv series set during episodes 3 & 4. Go and buy this month's empire magazine. All your questions will be answered by george lucas himself.

YOU'RE AN IDIOT THEY WOULD NEVER DO THAT!!
YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT STAR WARS OR GEORGE LUCAS.
There will never be any more movies. George Lucas said himself, that there wouldn't be anymore. Star Wars is the birth, rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker. It is the story of Anakin Skywalker, Anakin is dead, the story is complete therefore, star wars is over.
Star Wars will live forever, but there will NOT be another movie.
Check your resources...

George Lucas said in an interview that he is so tired, he wants to enjoy his life.
But then, earned hundreds of millions of dollars from the prequels so it's possible that he might still do 7,8, 9.

Star Wars has pretty much ended. They beat the Empire in Return of the Jedi. There is nothing left to tell. They might think about releasing the saga on Blu-ray

the last I heard, was Lucas himself say he didn't think he would do 7-9, they take too much time and efford and he wanted to do other this. that at best he would finish writing them out(more then the basic outline he wrote in the late '60., so his son(who was like 10) could make them if he chose to do so.

This is a web rumor, nothing more.
The StarWars story will be continued on TV in cartoon series, as George Lucas has officially stated.

I can't wait for that!
I wonder whether the original cast of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, etc will be in it?
And I wonder if they'll put in characters from Timothy Zahn's books... like Mara Jade (Luke's love interest)
Or will they be concentrating on Leia's + Han's baby twins?
Will they also show how Chewbacca died?
They killed off the character about 4 - 5 years ago...
:(
