Instead of poor Madeleine. In a BBC report on the website, it gives the lowdown on the McCanns European tour but hardly mentions Madeleine. See the link for yourselves. Can't believe they are going to Holland, Germany and Morocco after their stop off in Spain. It's not about their daughter anymore, it's about them as a couple. It's not telling us what is happening in the investigation, about the suspects or about any sightings. I have no sympathy for the parents, but blowing it up in such a way by the media doesn't present them in a good light even if people do empathise with them.

I'd personally like to bang both Kate and Gerry's heads together!!!! Firstly for being negligent selfish gits in leaving those 3 kids alone and at risk in the first place and now for the media circus that is happening with their exclusive travels. I really see no point in all these travels..it about them now not Maddy!
and it should be about Maddy!

I have mixed feelings about the McCanns there's a lot that doesn't feel right, but it could just be that they are acting on police advice in drawing publicity to themselves - just a thought. The BBC report did mention that the police were relieved that journalists were now trickling away and leaving them free to get on with their job. The publicity could be a kind of smokescreen to to fool possible suspects and give the police some space to operate.

The McCanns hardly even mention Madeleine in their website - the 'About Madeleine' section has two lines about Madeleine, and then a couple of paragraphs about the rest of the family! - or in their interviews so what can you expect. It's all about them now, and that poor little girl is being subjected to who knows what while the world concentrates on her mum and dad.

Its been like that from the beginning. They come across as being very self obsessed.
I just don't know where all this will lead, The USA, Australia, The Caribbean? Where next?
They should let the Police get on with doing their job, all this media frenzy has made the job of those investigating nigh on impossible.

I agree with Derbyandrew. They were arseholes to leave 3 children alone and it doesn't make sense.I agree also that the McCann's are very media-savy,but we can't really put ourselves in their place.I for one, would get every ounce of publicity I could,if it meant I got my child back.I'd do ANYTHING! I wouldn't care what people thought of me.Lets just get Maddy home safe first,THEN ask the questions

They should be hanging their heads in shame not hanging out with the political glitterati.

Whatever next? Lunch with Dalai Lama?, tea with the Queen?

Now I understand that they are not going back to Portugal but are off around Europe for the forseeable future - what is this? some sort of world tour?

I wonder if Phillip Green realises he's given his jet on permanent loan...

Next thing you'll hear they'll be holidaying somewhere secretly to 'get over the stress...'

i am absolutely sick of seeing their faces every time I open a newspaper. I don't know what annoys me more, the McCanns or the idiotic Press. No stone unturned to find Madeleine. Codswallop! The case is no longer about her, poor child. I read today that they were so sad to be forced to leave the twins again. Forced? Photo shoots are not compulsory for ordinary people. Still, not much is ordinary about these two I suppose.

I agree, the emphasis seems to have shifted. I have sympathy for anyone who's child goes missing. If it was my child. I would be walking the streets every night looking for them, not going on a european tour like some rock star or prime minister. It all seems so absurd.
